As a Product Manager at Medtelligent, a company creating software for the assisted living industry, I’ve learned not only how to juggle blindfolded (every Product Manager’s true job description) but also about many of the inter-related nuances of needs within healthcare, accounting, sales, hospitality, and management that every assisted living community faces.
Here are some of the issues and solution highlights from the last two years.
Product Management
Fungisaurs are adorable dinosaur-mushroom hybrid creatures created by conceptual artist, Aiman Akhtar. He’s been steadily growing the brand since 2017, and recently released a companion AR app called Fungisaurs ARise. Aiman contacted my team when he wanted to double-check that the heuristics and usability of the app were a solid foundation for the app’s growth in the future.

Fungisaurs
Local markets aren’t the whole answer to food insecurity, but they can help bring fresh food to communities which are typically underserved by big-name grocery stores. I worked with a team that shared this common interest and concern around local food access, especially after witnessing empty grocery store shelves for months in our communities during the covid-19 pandemic.

My first love is illustration, now and forever. In my spare time, I can be found with paintbrush in hand, and for a span of 5 years, I worked the best job I’ve ever had - illustrating a children’s comic book called The Electric Team, about a group of adventurers in a post-apocalyptic multiverse, battling the dangers of their world to ensure a better future for the myriad magical creatures who called their world home.
